Accessibility

Elina Technologies sees the accessibility of this site as part of the service, not an extra. This page sets out the standard the site was tested against, what has actually been implemented, what is still open, and how to report a problem.

The standard the site was tested against

The site was built and tested against the W3C (opens in a new tab) WCAG 2.2 guidelines at level AA, on which Israeli Standard IS 5568 is based, in line with the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 5773-2013.

What has been implemented

• Keyboard: every link, button and form field can be operated with the keyboard alone, in a logical order and with no keyboard traps. A “Skip to content” link is the first item on every page.
• Visible focus: every focused element shows a focus outline with sufficient contrast against its background, including on dark sections and inside embedded maps and videos.
• Menus: the Products, Solutions, Services and Manufacturers menus open by click, tap or keyboard, not by hover alone, and close with Escape, which returns focus to the menu item. The mobile menu and the search window keep focus inside them while open and return it to the button that opened them.
• Moving content: every carousel, gallery or strip that advances by itself has a visible Pause/Play button. None of them moves when the device is set to reduce motion, and the About page video does not start by itself in that mode.
• Forms: every field has a visible label and required fields are marked. After a failed submission, focus moves to an error summary, each field in error is marked as invalid, and its error message is linked to it for screen readers.
• Filtering and search: product and article filters and search show and announce the number of results, without moving focus away from where the visitor is.
• Structure: one main heading per page, headings in order, labelled page regions, and the correct language and direction for Hebrew (right to left) and English. Hebrew product names on English pages are marked as Hebrew.
• Images and tables: informative images have text alternatives, and decorative images are hidden from screen readers. Tables are real data tables with headers, and wide tables can be scrolled with the keyboard.
• Contrast: text and interactive elements meet level AA contrast, including hover, focus and error states. Errors are shown in text, not by colour alone.
• Zoom: pages can be zoomed to 200% on desktop and reflow at 320 pixels wide without horizontal scrolling or cut-off text.
• Touch targets: interactive controls are at least 24 by 24 pixels, or spaced as the guidelines allow.

Known limitations

• The YouTube player embedded on the About page is third-party content, and the controls inside it are YouTube’s own.
• Captions for the About page video have not yet been supplied.
• The product catalogue is shown in Hebrew on the English site.
• Manufacturers’ PDF files are published as received and are not necessarily accessible. If you need information from a document that isn’t accessible, we will gladly provide it in another format.

Manual testing

Testing with screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver) and a keyboard pass by a human tester have not yet been carried out. This section will be updated when that testing is complete.

How the site was tested

Every page template was tested in Hebrew and English, at desktop (1440 pixels) and mobile (375 pixels) widths, with the automated tools axe and Lighthouse and with automated keyboard, motion and zoom scenarios in the Chromium browser. The browser and screen-reader combinations tested by hand will be listed here when that testing is complete.

Reporting an accessibility problem

If you come across a page or component you can’t operate, tell us what you were trying to do, on which page, and with which browser and assistive technology. Detail like that cuts the fix from weeks to days.
