Displacement is the most crowded category in measurement, and the right sensor is decided by the target material and the environment far more than by accuracy. This is how the five technologies we supply really differ, and where each of them stops working.

The general choice: fast, accurate and cost-effective on most opaque surfaces.

Confocal chromatic
For glass, mirrors and clear films, where triangulation finds no spot to read.

For measuring through oil and dirt, inside bearings, gearboxes and hydraulics.

Capacitive
Sub-nanometre resolution in vacuum and cleanroom, on conductive targets at short range.
