Temperature
Non-contact temperature and the emissivity problem
An infrared thermometer measures radiation, not temperature, and converts between the two using an emissivity value. Set that value wrong and a perfectly good instrument reports a wrong number with complete confidence. We match the optics and tune the emissivity against your real material.
